The 2/2012 Met class observed the transit of Venus on Wednesday morning. We dusted off my old astronomical telescope and rigged up a screen to project an image of the sun for safe naked eye observation. It will not happen again for 105 years and, even though I'll probably still be teaching theory then, I may be a little too frail to make it down the stairs!
