hi all, i failed the air law last time, and i need to read the CAR ,CAO carefully before i resit again
i am a bit confused on smoking section from CAR 256. if no smoking sign turning off ,can i smoke in the toilet? if no orally passenger brief from the pilot, can the passenger smoke in the toilet?

CAR 255 says that smoking is never permitted during take-off or landing or refueling. Also smoking is not permitted in any area or at any time when a NO SMOKING sign is displayed. Also CASR 90.270 says that smoking in an aircraft toilet is not permitted under any circumstances.
