Well it appears that CASA have decided to change the requirements of CAO 48.1 with respect to Duty and Flight Limitations, and also not include private flying for recreational purposes in the flight time totals.
Due to commence the 30th April.
Good news for all of us out there who also want to fly privately for fun around any commercial work (when we get our CPL's that is).

Worth keeping in mind anyone who is preparing for their air law exam.
