Hi all,
Sitting air law in a week form now and I have all my full documents up to date but pilot the only pilot shop in the city doesn't have an up to date CAO. I've been using the one I got in early 2017. Just wondering if I can just print the extract and put them in a binder. It sounds like to me you don't need the full CAO and the extract will suffice.
I imagine the CAO will be considerably smaller than what I'm dealing with at the moment.
Thanks.
And if anyone could provide a link for an up to date extract that'd be greatly appreciated. I understand that CAO could be updated quite frequently.
Yes you can print and bind them as they are approved by CASA for the exam
Hi Stuart,
I just checked the CASA website, and they mention that a
"...Permitted material required to be supplied by the candidate:
A candidate may use either the Airservices List, OR the Jeppesen List of permitted materials ONLY. All other combinations of materials are NOT permitted.
Airservices List
CAR 1988
CASR Part 61
CAO 20-95.2
AIP Book
ERSA complete
AUS PCA
ERC LOW 1/2 and 3/4 only (2 ERC Lows)
Hobart/Launceston VTC
Brisbane-Sunshine Coast/Gold Coast VTC
No other references or material permitted..."
Did it previously list the extract as permitted? Or is there somewhere else it is expressly permitted to bring the extract?
Thanks,
Ben
G'day Ben
I can't recall if it was mentioned there but it is approved for the exam
Cheers
The extract has been specifically approved for use in the exam and supervisors have been notified of that. Remember that it must be bound and no handwritten notes are permitted on its pages.
