Hi,
In the syllabus, there is a the following point:
6.7.3 From (theoretical) power required and power available graphs identify:
(a) stall speed (power on)
I get that maximum angle climb should occur at the point of maximum surplus thrust - but i'm not sure how this would relate to stall speed. At maximum surplus thrust, either increase or decreasing speed should decrease the component of thrust support the aircrafts weight, which is very similar to the condition for an aerodynamic stall in terms of lift. I just can't work out if(and if so, why) this speed would coincide with the aircrafts stall speed.
Is anyone able to explain?
