Hi,
I would like to understand why the answer [d] is also not a correct answer? Answer [a] and [c] are clearly incorrect.

Q. The designer can eliminate slipstream effect during cruise by?
[d] off-setting the fin to the right.

On page 4.3 off-setting the fin is also an option to eliminate slipstream effect.

Thanks.

Good question. I guess it all depends on just what you mean by 'off setting the fin to the right'. If you offset the fin to the right, you would be twisting the entire fin and rudder assembly to the right. That would produce a left yaw.
