Page 60 – Class E Airspace Diagrams 28/8/26
Correction:
Two diagrams on page 60 of the Controlled Airspace Endorsement manual incorrectly identify the controlled airspace depicted as Class E.
For a VFR aircraft in Australia, entry into Class E airspace does not require an ATC clearance. The examples are intended to illustrate inadvertent entry into controlled airspace that does require a clearance.
Accordingly, the diagrams should read:
- “Class C Controlled Airspace (CTA)” in the vertical trap example; and
- “Class C Controlled Airspace (CTR)” in the lateral trap example.
All other information in the diagrams remains unchanged.
